Wolverine/Witchblade

In part five of this eight part story spanning both the Marvel and Top Cow universes, heroes from both imprints team up to battle the Master of Illusions himself, Mephisto. The demon enters the Top Cow dimension in the hopes of conquering a seemingly untapped area of the multiverse. Having abducted the souls of thousands of New York City residents, the demon turns his focus on the titles’ two headliners.

Reeling from last issue’s battle, Sarah Pezzini, wielder of the Witchblade, is trapped in a dream-like state—although she has memories of wielding the ancient weapon to fight evil, her “real life” proves those to be fantasies. She is actually engaged to Ian Nottingham, the man she thought to be her mortal enemy. But when Wolverine enters the picture, he reveals her betrothed to be the deceitful Mephisto.

While there are no startling revelations in this particular episode, the story is indeed building up to what will hopefully be a spectacular grand finale.
