Soaring Penguin publishes issue #3

This anthology title collects work by the more talented people who produce their own comics in the U.K., but pairs it with short strips from well-known creators who might otherwise find no obvious home. The highest profile is currently held by John McCrea in issue #3, but the best sample is #2, with Hunt Emerson providing the status. Lee Kennedy’s four pages are a delight as ever, and Mark Stafford is a cartoonist to cherish, while Andy Brown’s story “Like Alice” is a genuine oddity calling out for short film status.
