Black Cat The War Years
(Lorne-Harvey, 1994)
™ and © Lorne-Harvey
After Alan Harvey, the son of the late Alfred Harvey, took over the Harvey Comics company, he eventually sold off the companies’ primary assets, namely Richie Rich and Casper. What he retained was a collection of superheroes of which The Black Cat is the most memorable and long running. The original series was published continually for over 20 years. This is not The Black Cat who occasionally turns up in Marvel Comics as Spider-Man’s foe, but a crime fighter with acrobatic skills that has origins clear back to World War II. This square bound collection compiles stories from that original era of the early 40s.
