Wayward youth on both sides of the Pacific have an abiding need for speed. This is the Hong Kong version of The Fast and the Furious, as the four kings of street racing duke it out on the asphalt. Each has a catchy nickname, tricked-out hot rod, and a loyal gang of followers ready to gamble with their money and lives.

However, Tian Ren throws a wrench into their plans. This lowly taxicab driver has a golden pair of hands, evidently inherited from his dad, a legendary racer. Will the other lead-footed “gods” Kuma, Seer, Nicholas, and The White Knight make room for this conflicted newcomer “Nightfire” or will they make Tian eat their dust?

Stuck in gear somewhere between Grease and The Warriors, this series tries mightily to make hormone-driven gas consumption look exciting. But spinning RPMs with speed lines results in a story on cruise control.
