Creator/writer Kurt Busiek has been prolific here with this project—typing up a storm to churn out seven one-shots spotlighting brand new characters, each heralding the release of the premiere issue of a series featuring a dynamic super-hero team the world will come to know as…The Power Company.

Josiah Power is destined to be the founder of this team—once a successful corporate attorney but now a super-human who gained fantastic abilities when he was exposed to radiation from a metagene bomb unleashed during a DCU event known as the Invasion!

Power is forced to resign from his position at the law firm, but is inspired by a certain Man of Steel to apply his knowledge and experience along with his new abilities to the cause of good. The result of that pep talk is the formation of a team that one day might even give the JLA a run for its money!
