Infantry

Veteran writer Joe Casey (Deathlok, Wildcats Version 3.0) and artist Clement Sauve (Human Defense Corps) present one of the four titles (along with Breakdown, Defex, and Blade of Kumori) that introduce Devil’s Due Publishing’s “Aftermath” universe. The title character is a faceless, voiceless armored warrior who, in lieu of wasting energy on dialogue in his first appearance, literally crashes a meeting between a nascent super–villain and the paramilitary group attempting to hire him. Meanwhile, on an unnamed South Pacific island a junior insurance claims adjuster and a CIA agent investigate the smoking ruins of a pharmaceutical research facility. As they dig through corpses and rubble, they discover a hidden lab surrounding a shattered, man–sized glass—presumably where the mystery crimefighter was created.
