Body Doubles (Villains)
(DC, 1998)
™ and ©1998 DC Comics
Springing from the pages of Resurrection Man, this one-shot follows the exploits of the sexy and sultry Bonny Hoffman and Carmen Leno, preeminent assassins known as the Body Doubles.
When a $100,000,000 bounty is placed on a mysterious individual, the Body Doubles see it as an opportunity to make their dreams reality. Carmen could finance her movie career and Bonny can prove that she is the hitman her father wanted in a son. But when premier assassins hunting the target begin turning up dead, Bonny and Carmen will need their quick wits, loose clothing and feminine assets to stay alive.
This one-shot by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and pencilled by Joe Phillips is part of the New Year’s Evil fifth week event spotlighting DC villains in stand alone stories. This event was most memorable for the introductions of Prometheus, a JLA level villain, and Gog, a major player in DC’s landmark possible future tale, Kingdom Come.
