Bobby Luck is a rookie cop trying to make a name for himself, but despite his best efforts, he’s got a lot to learn. He might learn it from his tough-as-nails female partner, Tessa Moreno, if he wasn’t such a natural loner. But just as Bobby is about to die as the victim of a solo bust-gone-wrong, he’s saved by a new partner—one from another planet. Now they need each other to survive.

Decoy,—a cute, pudgy, green alien—is stranded on Earth when his disapproving and more aggressive brethren abandon him. Decoy is not completely helpless in this new world—he’s a shapeshifter—and whether he’s morphing into a bouncing deer or turning his hand into a gun, he’s going to be just the sort of partner Bobby Luck needs, whether Luck likes it or not.
