Blanche Goes to New York is a delightfully genteel story of piano lessons and demonic invasion. The one-shot special begins when Blanche arrives in 1900s New York to study piano at the home of Professor Pellegrini. The professor had been an intimate of some of the more “radical” composers, such as Debussy, Schoenberg, and Mahler.
As exotic as these piano compositions might have sounded to the gentle Blanche’s ears, it was nothing compared to the strange sounds that sometimes emanated from the lower levels of the house. When Blanche investigates, she finds that the wondrous city of New York harbors some very old secrets…
