Girl-crazy L.A. skateboarding whiz Eric Volker unwittingly reignites a cosmic war between three galactic civilizations of giant robotic warriors reminiscent of the Transformers, each struggling to claim Earth as a strategic linchpin. The Santa Monica pier, LA County Museum of Art and Venice Beach are featured backdrops in this black and white American manga that merges Transformers-type epic action with California skate-punk miscreancy. The warring “mecha” giants take their names and design cues from ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman archetypes, hence the title of the book.
