Everyone knows Richie Rich, that “poor little rich boy” whose adventures usually involve a whole bunch of money. Here, in some cases, these stories focus on gems, although it should be no means be taken as an unbreakable rule. Typical stories dealing with the shiny things focus on his wealthy Mom needing to transport a truckload of them into storage—but they’re too heavy! Other stories focus on other members of the Rich family, like cousin Penny Van Dough, or the girl who spends all her time trying to get Richie to notice her, Mayda Munny. Humor along the lines of the characters’ names abounds.

Published by Harvey Publications, one of a handful of various Richie Rich titles, this series truly does “sparkle with fun and excitement.”
