Stain is a collection of stories by various artists, all in glorious black and white. The first two issues offer alternate covers by Tim Vigil (Faust, Broken Halo) and Tim Tyler.

The stories in issue one include “Tomb of the Black Sea Dead” (also by Tim Tyler), featuring the adventures of Frankenstein’s monster after the conclusion of the Mary Shelley’s classic. The others are “Manifest,” the intertwined stories of four depressed people, one of which is a circus geek and another the man who hates and feeds him, by writer/artist Mike Joseph; and “Crimson Splashes,” the tale of a gruesome serial killer by Mike Joseph and John Specht.
