In this 1997 three-issue mini-series, Conan the Barbarian hires on as a mercenary for a ruthless warlord, the evil General Vindictus. But Robert E. Howard’s classic sword-and-sorcery hero must decide whether to stay with the forces who have hired him or protect their target—his homeland, Cimmeria. In this series, Conan has some intriguing partners in battle, including a female spear-carrier whom he collects as his reward after besting her and her fellow (male) warriors in battle.
