Detective Sara Pezzini knew it was going to be a bad day when it began with a mass murder investigation. The appearance of mobster Jackie Estacado (The Darkness) merely reinforced her opinion. But the manifestation of her own mystical Witchblade, a quasi-sentient armor-like weapon, was the confirming “nail in the coffin”. And after a brutal encounter with the un-living monster Frankenstein, she realizes she’s involved in something a lot more sinister than feuding crime families.

Featuring appearances by Lara Croft Tomb Raider, and a vampiric Magdalena, this is the third installment of a story begun in Magdalena vs. Dracula and Tomb Raider vs. The Wolf-Men. Detailing the fiendish efforts of the savage Mr. Hyde (now physically separate from his alter-ego Dr. Jekyll) to unleash a horde of horrific demons, a Monster War. This crossover storyline, and perhaps the world as we know it, concludes in The Darkness vs. Mr. Hyde.
