Boxboy

    (Slave Labor, 1993-1995)
™ and © Slave Labor Graphics

Welcome to the world of Boxboy, your average hardworking, and unassuming cardboard box. His world is a lot like yours: he works at a job he doesn’t really like, he has a family he’s not quite ready for, friends who don’t really appreciate him, and a great day is getting to watch his favorite shows on TV. Boxboy takes a hard look at all the little things in life that bug us, but manages to show them in a comical light.

This minicomic is written and drawn by Dan Vado, the main man behind Slave Labor Graphics. Although he claims (in the cover credits) that his work is poorly done, Vado manages to take a collection of simple line drawings, and still convey a wide range of human emotion.
