Secrets of the Valiant Universe

The first issue of this title was released as a special promotional item from Wizard Magazine. It served as a useful introduction to new readers of Valiant comics, as well as letting die-hard fans in on new details on their favorite heroes.

The second issue was a regularly available comic, but the title became somewhat misleading. The story it contained was part four of the “beta” phase of Valiant’s 1994 mega-crossover, The Chaos Effect. The issue contained a fast-moving story wherein Shadowman regained his sanity; Max St. James (the original Shadowman) battled Master Darque, and Darque launched a nefarious plan to create yet another Shadowman who would do his bidding. Despite all the goings-on, however, no real “secrets of the Valiant universe” were revealed.
