The term “Orwellian” has become somewhat overused in describing fascist, controlling futures, but 1984 novelist George Orwell almost deserves royalties from this title. In 2029, a fearful government worker meets a beautiful revolutionary, and finds his life turned upside down. Worse still, the organization he works for, the government’s Behavioral Reconditioning Reorganizational Center, is working to further increase its control of people’s thoughts and actions. It’s developed a virus, Fides, that will make disobedience impossible. Can the pair thwart the government? Can they even survive?

The title ultimately evolves past its all–too–familiar inspiration, and also incorporates a dry humor about its grim future. It’s written by Anne Ploy and drawn by Didier Pagot.
