Fraggle Rock (Star)

This fantasy series from the mid-1980s came out on Marvel’s kid-oriented Star imprint, and featured characters from the zany world of Muppet creator Jim Henson. The Fraggles are cute, goofy, nonsense creatures who populate a magical subterranean world. Enjoyment of the series is greatly enhanced by imagining the voices of Muppetteers Henson and Frank Oz behind the dialogue and character interplay, which is cute, fast-moving, and great stuff for parents to read to young kids.

In addition to starring in this comic series, Fraggle Rock was a successful children’s television series.
