Gil Kane is of course best known for his substantial body of work at Marvel and DC, on some of their greatest heroes. But along the way he also brought his unique artistic stylings to the Sunday newspapers, teaming with well-known science fiction writer Ron Goulart on a weekly adventure strip. This late 1970s science fiction drama is collected, reprinted, and resurrected by ACG Comics in this series.

Action focuses on a pair of “star hawks”—interstellar cops—named Rex and Chavez, one is reluctant to get involved, the other as gung-ho as a law officer could be, and their myriad adventures which often involve saving damsels in distress. Published in black-and-white…regrettably.
