™ and ©2001 Sergio Aragonés and Mark Evanier

The dimwitted barbarian known as Groo has decided to give up killing. In a brief, uncharacteristic moment of wisdom, Groo realized that people hated and feared him because of his tendency to stab people.

Yet not everyone is satisfied with this new state of affairs. What about the undertaker with his huge inventory of coffins? Or the workers employed making weapons to battle Groo? Or worst of all, what about the King who relies on the Groo tax—collected to protect people from Groo?

Meanwhile, Groo’s enemies from far and wide have heard about the barbarian’s change of heart, and believe now is the best time for revenge. Will Groo and Rufferto survive the his newfound philosophy of life? And what evil plan will the King hatch, to make up for all those lost taxes?
