As atonement for abusing her authority as Amazon Queen, and unknowingly contributing to former Wonder Woman Princess Diana’s death, Hippolyta has assumed the role of Wonder Woman. Hippolyta’s duty will be to complete Diana’s original task: educating and bringing justice to Patriarch’s World. With her years of experience in the historic Justice Society of America to fortify her, she quickly becomes an able replacement for Diana. Hippolyta has neither Artemis’ military disposition or Diana’s peaceful demeanor. As a result, she’s a new and unique Wonder Woman all her own.
