 BLOL   (Aircel, 1985-1987)

™ and ©1995 Rob Walton

This black-and-white title from writer/artist Rob Walton is an allegory for the ongoing battle between good and evil, between Heaven and Hell. And Hell is winning. Heaven’s champion, a young woman named Deborah, fights the crime that infests a section of the city called the Inferno, but she fights too violently, too often to the death, and her actions hurt the Light and empower the forces of Darkness. Representatives of both sides watch as Deborah’s drama unfolds, as her battle continues, and as she becomes an unwitting victim of the very forces she’s fighting against. Intriguing—if somewhat esoteric—stuff.
