The Adventures of Tad Martin

“The Adventures of Tad Martin, Average American Teenager,” from 1991 is something of an exercise in depression. The bitter, dark, nihilistic stories, heavily dependent on drug and sexual themes, portray a dismal world of revenge and hopelessness. In one story, the protagonist compares women to roaches as justification for drugging a girl who dumped him, sedating her parents so he could urinate on them while they slept and killing her cat.

If Tad Martin is indeed an average American teenager, God help us all.
