Garou: The Lone Wolf

    (Bare Bones, 1999)
™ and ©1999 Bare Bones Studious

A priest who is somehow turned into a werewolf is given two gifts by an angel: the ability to remain sane when in werewolf form, and the magic staff of Moses. Armed with these and faith, he roams the world fighting evil, and worrying how to save the souls of the evil people he slays.

But the werewolf priest is little more than a pawn in a long-running battle between Heaven and Hell. This time Satan is out to win, determined to destroy the priest’s faith, since his minions cannot destroy his body.

Though the newspaper stock and inexpert art gives the comic more of a ’zine feel, the work is full of energy that helps carry it over the rougher spots. The first issue was published in July 1999 by Bare Bones Studios.
