Saigon Chronicles

ACG’s line of black-and-white reprint titles expands with Saigon Chronicles, a series that reprints combat stories set during the Vietnam War. While not as gritty as, say, Doug Murray and Michael Golden’s The ’Nam, these stories are fairly poignant and gain a good deal of substance from historical distance. The dangers of the war come to life in several short stories; but, by modern standards, they are somewhat “clean.” The true horror of the Vietnam War is only hinted at, since these comics were definitely kids’ fare.
