 SPIN   (Amaze Ink, 1997-1998)

™ and ©1997 Eric Vinicoff and Brent Anderson

Spinworld is the epic story of the Spacing Dutchman, a city-sized facility in orbit around the Earth. The tale begins with Kieko, an intelligent, telepathic dolphin with empathic healing powers. Kieko functions in surface society with the aid of Sharon, his human guide and mental host. Sharon is a medical student, and through their mental rapport Kieko is learning how to adapt his healing with conventional practices.

Though frequently blocked by the doctors of the American Medical Association, who are jealous of the dolphin’s abilities, Kieko accepts an invitation to practice medicine on the Spacing Dutchman. Having fallen in love despite social taboos and their obvious physical differences, Sharon agrees to accompany him.
