Black Condor

 BFG9   (DC, 1992-1993)

™ and ©1992 DC Comics, Inc.

Ryan’s grandfather headed a secret organization that sought to create a super-being to use for their own ends. The subject they chose for this end was Ryan. Ryan was to become the organization’s champion, their “Golden Eagle.” Their efforts succeeded in giving Ryan the ability to fly, as well as mental powers even he did not fully understand. But Ryan wanted no part of this—all he wanted to do was fly.

This story of a reluctant hero began in May, 1992. Unable to carve a niche for itself in the crowded market of the early 1990s, it was cancelled after just twelve issues.
