Gojin

 GOJI   (Antarctic, 1995-1996)

and 1995 Kazuho Takizawa and Yutaka Kondo

Unlike most Japanese comics, or perhaps in reaction to their milking every aspect of a scene, Gojin cuts right to the chase, dispensing with vast quantities of story as precise captions. This tends to confuse, as does awkward and unclear art. The basis of Gojin is an alien invasion of feudal Japan, but any originality is washed away by the torrent of slapstick action. This is for the completist only.
