The Miracle Squad: Blood and Dust

 MSTD   (Apple, 1989)

™ and ©1989 John Wooley and Terry Tidwell

Blood and Dust is the second four-issue mini-series for its stars, the Miracle Squad. This colorful name was attached to the crew of Miracle Studios, a B-Movie production company operating out of Hollywood’s “Poverty Row” in the 1930s.

In their first adventure, the Miracle Squad had worked to avenge the mob killing of Miracle’s founder, Felix Barron. As this series picks up, they were getting back to their real business of cranking out formula action serials for the nation’s movie houses. Before long, however, they’d be drawn to adventure once again—this time to help a friend find his missing father. To do this, they’d travel into the heart of the Depression-era Dust Bowl of Farmington, Oklahoma and take on a corrupt drilling company which specialized in separating desperate farmers from their land.
