There is no lack for vampire stories in the world of comics. Looking for a traditional Count Dracula tale? It’s been done. What about a story starring vampires who hunt other vampires? That’s been done, too. I’ve got it: How about a story about ancient vampires living in today’s modern world as ultra hip Gen X’ers? Man, has that been done! And the rather haphazardly thrown together, black and white Bloodletting is yet another example.Satori, Max and Cosette are three “eternally trapped at 20-something-year-old” vampires who roam 1990s California as part of its underground “Goth” movement. While each has their own specific reason for becoming vampires, Satori is the most perverse. She purposely became a vampire to exact revenge on the graduates of her high school—students whom she thinks are responsible for the murder of her best friend. Personal agendas aside, the trio lead a regular vampire life, on the run from a duo of hunters looking to bring them down.
