Nocturne (Aircel)

™ and ©1991 Barry Blair

A hideous vigilante stalks the shadows, sadistically killing and mutilating the criminals who also live in darkness. His dismemberments serve to horrify even the detectives pursuing him, with them ever more determined to bring him in for his crimes. Worse still, this particular killer seems impervious to harm, not to mention totally insane, if his messages on the answering machine of a dead woman are any indication. He also believes himself possessed by the power and strength of spiders, although not in the heroic way typically associated with those imbued with the proportional strength of a spider. In short, he’s crazy, and it might be only a matter of time before his “work” starts taking the lives of innocents, too.

This dark and gruesome yarn is in black-and-white, and given the gore, it’s probably just as well.
