Superman/Wonder Woman: Whom Gods Destroy

    (DC, 1996–1997)
™ and ©1997 DC Comics

With DC’s “Elseworlds” titles, some things are the same and some things are different. Favorite DC heroes are placed in new worlds and situations where anything goes.

The original Superman grew up in the 1920s, graduating from Smallville High in 1932 with Lana Lang. By the 1990s, his alien physiology left him looking as young as ever. Lois Lane and Lana however were human and continued to age. Now, German Nazis still control Europe and old atrocities, long hidden, are rendered meaningless. Yet, the Greek Fates weave their last tapestries. Many of the old Greek gods have passed away, but a select few still survive and fight to keep humanity from passing into a one-world dictatorship ruled by Adonis. Athena and her pantheon have one last hope to defeat the darkness. Their power and the unquenchable spirit of Lois Lane must combine to save Earth with a true Wonder Woman.
