A story within a story, this mini-series begins in the classic “Tales of a Thousand Nights and One Night.” King Sharizar accuses his wife, Shahrazad, of infidelity after discovering a ring he gifted to her in the stall of a handsome merchant. Faced with these accustations, Shahrazad pleads with her husband to listen one of her stories, a story which will explain her actions. And so begins this tale of Sinbad the Sailor.

Brought to the Caliph of Bagdad, Sinbad is informed that the Caliph’s wife, Aziza, has been kidnapped by disciples of a self-proclaimed prophet called the Mahdi. No ransom has been demanded, and the only clue is a ring that belonged to one of the disciples. Pledging to bring home the Caliph's wife, Sinbad sets out with his reluctant friend Khalil on a daring rescue mission full of danger and adventure.
