Barb Wire

 BARW   (Dark Horse, 1994-1995)

™ and ©1994 Dark Horse Comics, Inc.

(From The Slings & Arrows Comic Guide)

The Barb Wire movie might be an all-time turkey, although the one-shot Barb Wire Movie Special achieves the miracle of making it seem okay, but the regular issues are of a high standard throughout. Operating out of a bar in the run-down industrial city Steel Harbor, Barb is a bounty hunter, albeit a particularly glamorous one prone to displaying acres of flesh. Despite her aversion to super-powered types they just can’t avoid her. Luckily, more offbeat paranormals Motorhead and the Machine are also on hand when matters escalate. John Arcudi writes a solid super-hero comic, and artists Paul Gulacy (in the Comics’ Greatest World: Barb Wire issue), Dan Lawlis and Mike Manley match the scripts.
