Betty Boop’s Big Break

Even though Betty Boop is an iconic character that has had numerous animated cartoon adventures made about her, two short-lived comic strips and even a cameo in the feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, there has only been one comic book featuring the “boop-boop-a-doop” girl in honor of Betty’s 60th anniversary. This graphic novel is a fairly decent comic inspired by its source material, but strange that it took so long to appear. Probably because comic books didn’t hit their stride until after Betty was already on the downslide at Fleischer Studios in the late 30s.
