Homage Studios is a key part of Image Comics, producing such creations as WildC.A.T.s, CyberForce, Wetworks, StormWatch, and more. The studio had humble beginnings, starting off as Whilce Portacio and Scott Williams working in the loft of Scott’s condo in San Diego. Soon, this pair was joined by penciler Jim Lee, a hot new talent out of Berkeley. The overcrowding forced them into a one-bedroom apartment. With the addition of colorist Joe Chiodo, they moved again—into a two-bedroom place.

When Marc Silvestri signed on, it was time to move into a real office. Not long after, Image Comics was born, and a new day dawned for comics.

This one-shot special is a sampler from the artists of Homage Studios, showing off the work of the original crew, as well as of several talented newcomers. It also includes tips on creating your own comics.
