Aya

 AYAQ   (AK, 2003)

™ and © AK Comics

Aya wasn’t always in the hero business. Her father was murdered by a mobster as she watched. Her mother was framed for the murder and still serves a life sentence in prison. Undaunted, Aya attends law school in hopes of freeing her falsely imprisoned mother. When the mysterious Number Zero witnesses her stopping a mugging, he offers her membership in an underground crime fighting organization financed by some of the richest people in the world. She accepts, and after undergoing extensive training as a martial artist, finds herself driving a modified superbike as part of a wide-ranging group of crime fighters.

Aya is part of AK Comics’ shared world of titles including Zein and Jalila, which feature heroes who live in the Middle East in the near future.
