Doctors working the hectic ER beat at Metahuman Emergency Department at Metacentral Medical Plaza contend with superhuman wounds and medical trauma, often using their own super powers to do their work. But it’s not all force beams and super strength; a real-life medical doctor co-authors Metadocs and the book tosses around medical jargon with impressive verisimilitude. Early issues emphasize technology and super–heroics in lieu of the drama and romance typical of television medical procedurals. Will metahuman soap operas grow in the Metacentral Medical Plaza? Time will tell.
