Teen Titans Spotlight

    (DC, 1986-1988)
™ and ©1986 DC Comics

From The Slings & Arrows Comic Guide:

This spinoff title was released at the height of the Teen Titans’ popularity, giving readers a chance to see their favorite characters in solo adventures. The series is, on the whole, mediocre, with only a handful of memorable issues. Issue #7 has an Asterix parody with Jackson Guice drawing a reasonable Hawk story; #11 saw the same treatment for Tintin. Erik Larsen draws an Aqualad solo in #10 and in the Omega Men in #15, and #14 stars Nightwing and shows a Batman removed from real emotion with a lack of understanding for his former partner. The best issue is #21, which has a nostalgia-drenched story of the original Teen Titans steeped in a 1960s psychedelic vibe. ~SS
