Batman: Poison Ivy

    (DC, 1997)
™ and ©1997 DC Comics

Poison Ivy, whose horticultural expertise is enhanced by her supernatural control of pheromones and all things photosynthetic, had established a little piece of paradise on a Caribbean island. Her idyllic existence was short-lived however when black-market gunrunners used her island to test a new incendiary device, and left it a smoldering wasteland. Poison Ivy’s thirst for retribution brought her back to Gotham City—to the ex-KGB operatives that have allied themselves with a perfume magnate and associate of Bruce Wayne.

In anticipation of the fourth live-action Batman movie, “Batman and Robin,” DC published four prestige format titles highlighting the characters introduced in the film: Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane and Batgirl. Other than the name recognition of the characters, these titles had no direct connection to the movie.
