Savage Dragon/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover
Savage Dragon ô and ©1993 Erik Larsen. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ô and ©1993 Mirage Studios
The title says it all. Fans of Erik Larsenís Savage Dragon and Eastman and Lairdís Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles found that these anthropomorphosized reptiles had something more in common than skin pigmentation: a totally irreverent attitude when dealing with huge animated stone statues. The wisecracks and one-liners abound in this mini-series that finds the Dragon in the Turtles home town. The plot revolves around a woman named Virago who has been abducting and killing old ladies to bolster her mystical power, which apparently is the ability to bring sculpture, such as a gargoyle, to life. The plot is incidental to the real purpose of having two of the most popular independent comic creations team-up.
