The Marvel Universe is a big place, and as one of its most popular characters, Wolverine, occupies an integral part of it. Small wonder that an entire comic can be filled with exhaustive detail on his origin, his life, his loved ones, and his fiercest enemies. This one–shot features some 10 pages of text and pictures devoted exclusively to Wolverine and his history, and then a page of text and accompanying pictures for villains like Lady Deathstrike and Mister X; important women like Mariko Yashida and the adventurer Yukio; and even locations like Madripoor.

Little of Wolverine’s past and present is left unexamined here, and when a history is as complex and intricate as his, a guidebook like this proves useful. Images on each page include some of the character’s best–known artists.
