White Like She

    (Dark Horse, 1994)

Luther Albert Joyce was a normal man. Then on his 48th birthday, everything changed. He was trapped in a “minor flare-up” at the nuclear power plant where he worked as janitor. This accident left him a hideous mutant, and to cover its tracks the company he worked for decided to dump him in the plant’s liquid disposal. When he awoke, Luther was (to put it mildly) not feeling up to scratch.

Luther had no place to go, nobody to turn to for help. Then he read about an operation that could transplant his brain to a new body and planned to force the doctor to perform the procedure on him. But an alienated white teenager had other ideas about the doctor; she considered him a modern Mengele and plotted to kill him. The doc, the black mutant, and the white loser met, exchanged gunfire, and most of them died. But an assistant stepped in and transferred Luther’s brain into the white girl’s body. And when Luther awoke this time, it was a whole new experience.
