Blonde Addiction

Not exactly a comic book, Blonde Addiction is an outlet for Cynthia Johns to showcase her looks and mouth off on people who’ve done her wrong in brutally frank text pieces. Included in the first issue is a five-page comic featuring Johns’ super-hero alter ego the Blonde Avenger. The Blonde Avenger saves Christmas from an angry elf with a machine gun. The cover to No. 1 promises “sexy new Cindy photos,” but there’s nothing very revealing; any issue of Frank Thorne’s Red Sonja in the ‘70s displayed significantly more skin. With Blonde Addiction Johns basically created a fanzine about herself.
