George Stickleback sculpts paper figures from toilet paper. At least he attempts to when inspiration cooperates and his cat, Patty, doesn’t treat them as surrogate mice. He is having one of those kinds of days when his friend, Yanni, calls George to begs him to meet at a café. Yanni is a something of a depressed, desperate loser, yet against his better judgment, George concedes. Besides, a diversion may help his muse.
Once there, Yanni displays the bizarre malformed finger that has him concerned, but not so concerned to see a doctor. George has his own problems. Outside of the café, he was harassed by a group of bullies who now spy on him as he attempts to relieve himself in the bathroom. Tensions escalate and before the evening ends, a visit to the emergency room will be necessary. But as George discovers, inspiration can be found in the most surprising places.
Writer/artist Graham Annable has a loose cartoony style but the art is appropriate for his absurd characters and situations.
