The Uncanny X-Men in Days of Future Past

In the year 2019, the lucky mutants are the dead ones. The rest—including the few surviving X-Men—survive and suffer in concentration camps controlled by the mutant-hunting Sentinel robots. All hope for the future is lost, unless a grown-up Kitty Pryde can do the impossible: travel back in time to stop the event that brought about this dark future. Originally told in Uncanny X-Men #141 and #142, this storyline, one of the last from the legendary X-team of Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Terry Austin, has also become one of the most popular with fans, which explains why it was released in this collected edition in 1989. Nearly five years after the original two-parter was published, one of the future X-Men, Rachel Summers (Phoenix III), would travel back in time to join the current team, as well as the Britain-based super group, Excalibur.
