Aliens: Alchemy

Artist Richard Corben gives his own distinctive touch to this tale of Aliens-run-amok on a primitive colony. The town of Emerson grew out of a wreck of the spaceship by the same name. But the survivors lost significant technology in the process, and much of the town lives on as a sort of agricultural collective. More modern-thinking townsmen succeeded in building a power plant and fashioning metal farm implements. Others, however, see this regrowth of technology as a threat, and will do anything necessary to keep the old ways.

For the local religious leader, this included breeding an Alien killer… and unleashing it… in the name of religion into the near–defenseless populace.
